M.A. grew up enthralled by shows like “The Twilight Zone” and has loved science-fiction and paranormal all her life. That passion for the unexpected, unknown and unseen has been the driving force behind M.A.’s creative process. After she reads about a new science discovery, something interesting about physics or biology, scientific reports about the environment, etc. that information often gets incorporated into one of her storylines. Combine her love of the mystical and spiritual with her enthusiasm for science and the plot lines behind her stories start to take shape in her head. Often, ideas start as little sparks in her mind that blossom into full characters. The characters then drive the story. M.A. has been telling her grandchildren stories since they were little. Her first book, Shadows of December, is actually the printed version of a story that she used to tell and retell her oldest grandson. Over the years, the story expanded and grew into the version that you can read today! The Unseen Player is based on a true story of historical bandits from the 1800's that were based in M.A.'s home state. The locations and background to the story are real and she used those to develop the fictional story line. As she likes to say, "the story writes itself" and the characters begin to tell their stories. The Mirror of Truth was written after readers of her first book demanded she write a sequel to The Unseen Player. Her readers loved the characters and wanted to read more about them. Hence, the storyline began forming in her mind as messages and thoughts came to her while dreaming or relaxing. These two books now form the basis of the Clint Reeves, Beyond the Grave Series and M.A. is currently working on Book 3 of the series!
